    Visit more than 40 artisans set up along the streets in front of the unique shops and cafes of Historic Downtown Chandler.
  • 4th of July Festivals and Fireworks Celebrations
    Every city and town in the Valley has some sort of Independence Day event that's suitable for the entire family.

    The Arizona Diamondbacks play professional Baseball at Chase Field.

  • Crossroads of the West Gun Show
    At the Arizona State Fairgrounds. The shows offer hundreds of tables of interest to both the once a year hunter and the avid collector.

  • Date Creek Ranch U-Pick Peaches and Apples
    Eat what you pick right from the trees and take some with you. Call first to find out if the fruit is ripe yet.

  • McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park Free Concerts
    Sundays from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. in Scottsdale. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and enjoy a variety of music. Train and carousel rides are available throughout all concerts for a small charge.

GARDENS AND ZOOS

Boyce Thompson Arboretum
The Boyce Thompson Arboretum was created from 1923 to 1929 as a museum of living plants to help instill in humanity an appreciation of plants. The Boyce Thompson Arboretum is located east of Phoenix.

Desert Botanical Garden
The Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, Arizona is a very unique and wonderful place. Enjoy and learn about the desert environment at the Desert Botanical Garden. Includes tips and directions. Desert Botanical Garden Butterfly Pavilion
Each Spring visitors to the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix can enjoy a special exhibit, the Marshall Butterfly Pavilion. The butterflies are available for viewing from mid-March through mid-May.
Hassayampa River Preserve
Just northeast of Phoenix in Wickenburg you'll find a desert oasis complete with palm trees, a pond that is home to frogs and water fowl, and a mysterious river that rises from the depths of the desert sand.
Japanese Friendship Garden and Tea House
A Sister City project with Himeji, Japan and the Japanese Friendship Garden Committee and the City of Phoenix. Located in the Margaret T. Hance Park in Central Phoenix. Named a Phoenix Point of Pride in 2004.
Out of Africa Wildlife Park
Located in Campe Verde, within a 2 hour drive from most places in the Valley. "The Park's Serengeti is a large natural habitat, spanning over 40 acres, where giraffe, wildebeest, zebra and other animals of the African plains live as they do in nature."
Phoenix Zoo

Superstition Farm
Superstition Farm is a working dairy farm with over 1,000 cows. They offer tours to the public and kids can pet farm animals.
Wildlife World Zoo
Take a photo tour of the Worldlife World Zoo in Litchfield Park. The Worldlife World Zoo is a smaller zoo, focusing on exotic animals.
