Jean
DeKraker, CPA, MT has a Bachelors Degree in Marketing
from Southern Illinois University, a Post-Baccalaureate
in Accounting and a Masters degree in Taxation from
Arizona State University. She has been a Certified
Specialist in Estate Planning for several years.
Jean
edits books on tax law and investments for CCH, a
national publication house. She also designed an online
course in estate tax preparation for CCH.
Jean
has written articles for Arizona Women’s News and ghost
written several books on tax law. She has also
taught accounting at Arizona State University and two
Maricopa Community Colleges.
With
Jean’s unique ability to plan taxes by combining tax laws
and creativity, she gives a client new ways to view their
business structures for maximum tax savings.
Jean
was raised on a small family farm in Williamson, New
York and grew up with a love of nature. While attending
Southern Illinois University, she met Hugh Halbeck, her
future husband. They moved around the mid-west in the
late 1970’s and early 1980’s – Chicago, Detroit and
Milwaukee before escaping the winters and moving to
Phoenix.
Jean
and Hugh have two children; Julianna, who works in London, England, and Timothy,
who works for a local company.
Jean
enjoys travel as an opportunity to experience the
difference of cultures, and enjoys the pursuit of
